The EWWR Action Proposal

Themes Covered: Strict avoidance and reduction at source, Reuse and preparing for reuse, Waste sorting and recycling, European Clean-Up Day,

Description of the EWWR action:
The Waste week events take place at 3 different places of work during 3 different weeks (Brussels 15, 16, 17/11 / Strasbourg 22, 23/11 / Luxembourg 29, 30/11) in order to involve and address all staff in the most comprehensive manner taking into account Parliamentary sessions and availability of staff. This year’s Waste weeks in the EP will present the latest developments in the institution’s waste-related issues, the achievements, new projects implemented, new policies adopted. Good practices in various waste-related topics will be presented, in a general manner or linked to the habits in the workplace, trying to provoke positive changes and active participation of as many staff as possible. To accentuate the reachability of the audience, there will be also games organized, a competition for children, an informative “conference de midi”, film screenings, etc. As the activities in Luxembourg will take place on November 29th and 30th, after the "official" week, we will during the "official week" communicate on the Luxembourg programme in order to invite staff to participate in Luxembourg activities. We will also during this week be able to communicate on the results of the Brussels event as it will take place before the "official week".
